How Many Posts Are Available?
The official Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 notification does not mention a fixed total number of posts or vacancies. Therefore, candidates should not rely on unofficial vacancy numbers shared on social media or other websites.

Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Age Limit
Candidates born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010, including both dates, are eligible to apply for Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027.
If a candidate successfully clears all stages of the selection process, the upper age limit on the date of enrolment should not exceed 22 years. Candidates must enter their date of birth correctly during online registration because the information submitted during registration will be treated as final.
Marital Status Eligibility
Only unmarried Indian male and female candidates are eligible for enrolment as Agniveervayu. Selected candidates are required to undertake that they will not marry during the four-year engagement period.

Educational Qualification for Science Subjects
Candidates applying under Science Subjects should have passed Intermediate, 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from an education board recognised by the Central Government, State Government or Union Territory. They must have secured a minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate and 50 percent marks in English.
Alternatively, candidates who have passed a three-year Diploma Course in Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology from a recognised Polytechnic Institute can apply.
Such candidates should have a minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate and 50 percent marks in English in the Diploma Course. If English was not a subject in the Diploma Course, marks in English at the Intermediate or Matriculation level will be considered according to the notification conditions.
Candidates who have passed a two-year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects Physics and Mathematics may also be eligible. They should have secured at least 50 percent marks in aggregate and 50 percent marks in English as specified in the official notification.
Educational Qualification for Other Than Science Subjects
For Other Than Science Subjects, candidates should have passed Intermediate, 10+2 or an equivalent examination in any stream or subjects from a recognised education board with a minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate and 50 percent marks in English.
Candidates who have completed a two-year Vocational Course from a recognised education board may also apply if they have secured at least 50 percent marks in aggregate and the required 50 percent marks in English as per the recruitment rules.
Candidates eligible for the Science Subjects examination may also be eligible for Other Than Science Subjects. During online registration, eligible candidates may receive the option to appear for both examinations in one sitting.
Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Salary
Agniveervayu candidates selected under the scheme will receive a monthly customised package with a fixed yearly increment. In addition to the Agniveer package, applicable Risk and Hardship Allowances, Dress Allowance and Travel Allowance may be paid according to Indian Air Force rules.

Thirty percent of the monthly customised package will be contributed to the Agniveers Corpus Fund. The Government of India will provide a matching contribution to the Corpus Fund.
After completing four years of engagement, Agniveervayu will receive an approximate Seva Nidhi Package of ₹10.04 lakh, excluding interest, according to the figures mentioned in the official notification.
Agniveervayu will also be eligible for applicable facilities such as ration, clothing, accommodation and Leave Travel Concession according to existing rules. A non-contributory life insurance cover of ₹48 lakh will be provided for the duration of the engagement period.
Will Agniveervayu Get a Permanent Indian Air Force Job?
Agniveervayu will initially be enrolled in the Indian Air Force for a period of four years. The Indian Air Force is not obligated to retain every Agniveervayu candidate after the completion of four years.
After completing the engagement period, candidates may get an opportunity to apply for enrolment in the regular cadre of the Indian Air Force as Airmen. Applications will be considered based on objective criteria, including performance during the four-year engagement period and organisational requirements.
Up to 25 percent of each specific batch of Agniveervayu may be enrolled in the regular cadre of the Indian Air Force. However, candidates do not have an automatic right to permanent selection. The final decision will be subject to Indian Air Force and Government of India policies.
Application Fee for Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027
The examination fee is ₹550 plus 18 percent GST. Therefore, the total amount comes to approximately ₹649.
The examination fee is non-refundable. Candidates can make the online payment through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI using the payment gateway available on the application portal.
If multiple payments are received against a single application, the additional payment may be refunded to the originating account after registration closes and payment records are reconciled. Physical Fitness Test Requirements
Candidates shortlisted after the Phase-I online examination will be called for Phase-II testing. The Physical Fitness Test consists of PFT-I and PFT-II.
Male candidates must complete the 1.6 kilometre run within seven minutes. Female candidates must complete the 1.6 kilometre run within eight minutes.
After qualifying in PFT-I, male candidates will undergo PFT-II. Male candidates are required to complete 10 push-ups within one minute, 10 sit-ups within one minute and 20 squats within one minute. The exercises will be conducted according to the sequence and recovery periods prescribed by the Indian Air Force.
Female candidates who qualify in the run are required to complete 10 sit-ups within one minute and 30 seconds and 15 squats within one minute.
Minimum Height Requirement
The minimum acceptable height for male candidates is 152 centimetres. The minimum acceptable height for female candidates is also 152 centimetres.
For eligible female candidates belonging to North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, a lower minimum height of 147 centimetres may be accepted. For female candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height is 150 centimetres, subject to the documentary conditions mentioned in the official notification.
Weight should be proportionate to the candidate’s height and age according to Indian Air Force standards. Candidates must also satisfy hearing, dental, visual and general health requirements.

Photograph and Document Upload Instructions
Candidates must upload a recent passport-size colour photograph taken not earlier than one month from the date of registration. The photograph file size should be between 100 KB and 200 KB and should be in JPG or JPEG format.
The candidate must hold a black slate in front of the chest. The candidate’s name and the date on which the photograph was taken should be clearly written on the slate in white chalk using capital letters.
The candidate’s signature should be made on white paper using a black ink pen. The signature image should be between 80 KB and 150 KB in JPG or JPEG format.
The left thumb impression should belong to the candidate and must be properly scanned. The required image size is between 50 KB and 100 KB in JPG or JPEG format.
