How Many Posts Are Available?

Alternatively, candidates who have passed a three-year Diploma Course in Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology from a recognised Polytechnic Institute can apply.
Such candidates should have a minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate and 50 percent marks in English in the Diploma Course. If English was not a subject in the Diploma Course, marks in English at the Intermediate or Matriculation level will be considered according to the notification conditions.
Candidates who have passed a two-year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects Physics and Mathematics may also be eligible. They should have secured at least 50 percent marks in aggregate and 50 percent marks in English as specified in the official notification.
Educational Qualification for Other Than Science Subjects
For Other Than Science Subjects, candidates should have passed Intermediate, 10+2 or an equivalent examination in any stream or subjects from a recognised education board with a minimum of 50 percent marks in aggregate and 50 percent marks in English.
Candidates who have completed a two-year Vocational Course from a recognised education board may also apply if they have secured at least 50 percent marks in aggregate and the required 50 percent marks in English as per the recruitment rules.

Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Salary
Agniveervayu candidates selected under the scheme will receive a monthly customised package with a fixed yearly increment. In addition to the Agniveer package, applicable Risk and Hardship Allowances, Dress Allowance and Travel Allowance may be paid according to Indian Air Force rules.

Thirty percent of the monthly customised package will be contributed to the Agniveers Corpus Fund. The Government of India will provide a matching contribution to the Corpus Fund.
After completing four years of engagement, Agniveervayu will receive an approximate Seva Nidhi Package of ₹10.04 lakh, excluding interest, according to the figures mentioned in the official notification.

Will Agniveervayu Get a Permanent Indian Air Force Job?
Agniveervayu will initially be enrolled in the Indian Air Force for a period of four years. The Indian Air Force is not obligated to retain every Agniveervayu candidate after the completion of four years.
After completing the engagement period, candidates may get an opportunity to apply for enrolment in the regular cadre of the Indian Air Force as Airmen. Applications will be considered based on objective criteria, including performance during the four-year engagement period and organisational requirements.
Up to 25 percent of each specific batch of Agniveervayu may be enrolled in the regular cadre of the Indian Air Force. However, candidates do not have an automatic right to permanent selection. The final decision will be subject to Indian Air Force and Government of India policies.
Application Fee for Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027

Physical Fitness Test Requirements
Candidates shortlisted after the Phase-I online examination will be called for Phase-II testing. The Physical Fitness Test consists of PFT-I and PFT-II.
Male candidates must complete the 1.6 kilometre run within seven minutes. Female candidates must complete the 1.6 kilometre run within eight minutes.
After qualifying in PFT-I, male candidates will undergo PFT-II. Male candidates are required to complete 10 push-ups within one minute, 10 sit-ups within one minute and 20 squats within one minute. Female candidates who qualify in the run are required to complete 10 sit-ups within one minute and 30 seconds and 15 squats within one minute.

The minimum acceptable height for male candidates is 152 centimetres. The minimum acceptable height for female candidates is also 152 centimetres.
For eligible female candidates belonging to North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, a lower minimum height of 147 centimetres may be accepted. For female candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height is 150 centimetres, subject to the documentary conditions mentioned in the official notification.
